Helder Carita

Helder Carita studied architecture in Lisbon. He has dedicated much of his time to researching the history of Portuguese civil architecture. He has done the most extensive and systematic survey of Indo Portuguese Civil Architecture. He is the author of many books including the much acclaimed 'Palaces of Goa'. In 1993 he received the annual prize on the study of Lisbon for his book 'Bairro Alto:Tipologias e Modos Arquitectonicos.'
